Yesterday we met Amy.
Just before Amy started her sales presentation on zoom, her thoughts raced to her past.
When Amy was a child, she felt that her father often praised her sister, but ignored her. All her life she tried to gain people’s approval by sounding important. But the harder she tried, the more unconvincing she sounded. With each failure she believed even more that she wasn’t important. ‘Unimportant’ became Amy’s story:
“Oh. This is going to happen again. They won’t hear my idea. I’m a nobody.”
Amy’s 5 year oldself is telling this story. She needs a positive ‘grown-up’ story to help her to reach her full potential. Don’t give up! Keep going, Amy!
