Whether you speak life or death depends on what is filling your heart! If your heart is critical, your tongue will produce critical words. A self-righteous heart speaks judgmental words. A bitter heart speaks poisonous words. An ungrateful heart likes to complain.
But when we are loving, our words are gracious. If our hearts want to reconcile, our words will be forgiving. If we are trustworthy, our words will be full of truth. If we are kind, we will have words of compassion and encouragement. If our hearts are full of faith, we will speak encouragement, trust and hope for a bright future.
So, let’s develop positivity in our hearts so we can speak words of life!
